Agricultural & Livestock Supply

A. Agricultural Production and Supply: This includes the reclamation and investment of agricultural lands, as agriculture is one of the main economic activities contributing to the national economy. Food security is closely linked to national security, and achieving food security primarily depends on providing food through local agricultural production by cultivating all types of crops, developing field agriculture, introducing the latest agricultural methods, importing the best types of seeds and seedlings, as well as all the modern machinery needed for improving agricultural production and marketing them within Iraq.

B. Livestock Production and Supply: This includes the development and investment in the livestock sector to enhance its activity and increase its productivity to meet local demand and serve as an important economic resource for the country. The need to develop the livestock sector has become urgent through the establishment of cattle breeding stations, calf fattening units, fish farms, poultry fields, livestock breeding farms, horse farms, and the establishment, development, and investment in fodder and dairy factories, transferring and activating advanced methods using the latest approved technologies in Iraq. It also includes importing sheep, breeding calves, dairy cows, and beef cattle to develop this part of the national economy in line with development plans.
